Calimyrna Staff and Administration know and understand the vision, purpose, values and goals of Calimyrna Assisted Living. WE care for residents in the community adhering to all facility policies and procedures. WE promote and protect the rights of all residents.
WE provide assistance in resident care including cleaning and bathing, personal hygiene, dressing residents, bed making, assisting in ambulating, grooming, helping to activities and other functions;
WE perform light housekeeping activities such as cleaning, dusting and vacuuming; Make beds on a daily basis and change linen as often as required;
WE cooperate with the dining staff and provide general assistance with resident meals and clean-up; set tables, serve meals, clear tables and straighten dining room after meals;
WE maintain laundry and ironing activities;
WE engage residents’ in physical and mental exercises and/or activities that promote cognitive stimulation as prescribed by their doctors;
WE engage residents’ in facility and community activities that promote physical health and well-being;
WE provide companionship on a daily basis by lending an ear or a shoulder to lean on;
WE conduct work tasks safely and in compliance with the community safety program;
WE arrange/coordinate transportation for residents utilizing readily available non-medical transportation services, e.g., Lyft, Uber, Taxi-service, etc., to and from medical and dental appointments;
WE prepare food and/or oversee the preparation of food to ensure that hygiene standards are met and that physicians orders are being followed;
WE comply with annual state mandated caregiver training; Attends in-service training workshops, seminars, and meetings;
WE run errands including grocery shopping, bills payment and mail handling;
WE observe our residents for signs of deterioration or concern and report them to the family and/or doctor on an immediate basis;
WE maintain a safe and clean environment and ensure that garbage is taken out on a daily basis;
WE arrange medicines to be taken on schedule by providing appropriate reminders or administering medication only upon doctor’s orders;
WE maintain record of residents’ activities, behavior and symptoms for reference purposes;
WE assists with emergencies and with safety instruction for residents such as fire drills, disaster preparedness plan etc.;
WE will gladly perform other related essential duties as required/directed by Administration and/or Facility.
